Getenergy will refine the nominations it receives to a shortlist of 3 finalists in each category. We will be publicly announcing the finalists on February 13th, 2009.
In each category, we will be selecting finalists according to the following:
Effectiveness - Projects should have been implemented to the point where results are becoming visible and have been measured. We would like to hear about how you have achieved your objectives, how improvements have been measured and how value was created for all concerned.
Benefits – Nominations should include a description of the benefits of a particular project or approach, either actual or potential. Significance of benefits can be local, regional, national or international. You will not be shortlisted solely on the grounds of size and scale of project.
Challenges – Openness and transparency, not only in terms of the successes but also details of aspects that did not go well, how these were tackled and what lessons have been learnt.
Innovation – What particular strategies, tools or approaches have led to success for you?
Sustainability – Nominations should detail the ways in which successes will be sustained.
We will then be asking members of the Getenergy online community to decide who wins!
From February 13th until March 23rd, you will be able to vote for the winner online. Delegates at Getenergy 2009 will have the opportunity to review posters for each finalist during Day One of the event (23rd March) and will have the opportunity to vote online at the event until voting closes at 3pm on that day.
The winners in each category, as selected by public vote, will be announced at the Getenergy 2009 Awards Ceremony and Gala Dinner on the evening of March 23rd.
Finalists (and colleagues of finalists in the case of individual awards) will be unable to vote for themselves and online voting will be strictly monitored.
