London, March 27th 2009 - Getenergy Ltd, the truly independent facilitator of a global marketplace in education and training services for the oil and gas industry, has announced the winners of the Getenergy Awards 2009.
Building on the success of the first annual awards in March 2008, this year's awards again celebrate the contributions that companies and individuals have made in promoting excellence in energy training.
After a nomination process that began in November 2008, this year's winners were chosen from a shortlist of candidates in five categories by professionals working in the oil and gas industry during two weeks of intensive public voting.
At a glittering awards ceremony hosted at the Royal Horseguards, One Whitehall Place in London on March 23rd 2009 inaugurating the fifth Getenergy Exploration & Production Annual Event, Getenergy welcomed the winners and praised them for their proven commitment to world-leading education and training for the energy sector.
The winners of the Getenergy Awards 2009 are:
Jonathan Craig - Eni - Mentor/Coach of the Year
This award denotes the manager in any department who has contributed most to the learning/development of his/her staff.
The Robert Gordon University - Education/Training Provider of the Year
This award goes to the college, company or university who, in the opinion of the judges, has consistently developed and delivered industry leading programmes.
Dundee College and Geoservices - Education Partnership 2009
This award recognises a new partnership between an oil/gas company and a university or college which, in the opinion of the judges, shows most promise.
Eni S.p.A Milan - Corporate Social Responsibility in Education
This award celebrates a particularly successful social investment in education from an oil/gas company.
Energy Institute - Special Association Award: Advancing Education for the Oil/Gas Industry
This award recognises the particular contribution to advancing education and training for the Oil/Gas Industry made by our Associations and Industry Bodies.
